Brian Bergeron
About
Brian Bergeron is a multi instrumentalist and teacher based in Saco Maine. Having performed and taught in the area for a decade. Brian has a passion for education and the development of musicality in his community. He has traveled to India and Brazilian to study and teach music. Working with amazing traditional and classical musicians in those deep traditions. He has studied jazz guitar at the University of Southern Maine with Gary Wittner, and classical guitar with Nathan Kolosko and Luciano Lima. On the violin he has studied with Rafael Ferronato and Yasmin Vitalius.
Teaching philosophy
I approach teaching with a focus on catering towards an individual needs and aspirations. For all ages and backgrounds I desire to help develop a deeper and positive long lasting relationship with music and their instrument. I am as comfortable with Suzuki and the Royal College of Music methods as I am with learning songs and music by ear. I believe a strong foundation is crucial for children and adult musicians. I teach ages 5 to 95, so whether your child is ready to begin their Suzuki or musical journey, or you would like to learn a new skill and become more comfortable on guitar or violin, I will be here to help.
